The Joyful Servants of the Cross is a Private Association of the Faithful adhering to the teachings of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. It was formed by Divine initiative in 2005 on the Feast of the Solemnity of the Matrydoms of Sts Peter and Paul: founders of the Catholic Church, in Boston, MA.
Our primary mission is to live a disciplined life, following a modified Rule of St. Benedict, that was approved by Abbot Placid Solari, OSB of Belmont Abbey, North Carolina in 2016.
Since its conception in Boston, to the present day, our charism and calling and mission given by our Lord is three fold: to promote the Disciplined Rule of St. Benedict that can be securely adapted to any state in life; to promote the Joy (Hope and Peace) that comes from living a poor, humble and mendicant lifestyle like the Franciscans do; and finally to promote the Mercy Message of Our Lord Jesus Christ that he gave in private revelations to St. Faustina Kowalska with an emphasis on the total availability of God's Mercy to anyone, and everyone - and to promote the Corporal and Spiritual works of Mercy.
This lifestyle for us has funneled down now into 4 major initiatives: 1) to promote an immediate "study of time," yes, literally TIME, where did "time" come from, who invented it, how is it to be applied to our everyday human life and where is it going: what is the "final destination" or time?
The second initiative: is modesty in dress, to define it and to promote is by example. We live in a completely porno-graphed life: reckless, indecent promotion and exposition of body parts and zones that are reserved for husband and wife in the marriage room and bed. Any fashion that shamelessly draws attention to the "generative parts" of the human anatomy is to be "covered and veiled, as it should be" - so that going to grocery store is not a trip into a Rated R or X venue. Cover it up in a tasteful, graceful, fashionable way: and the erotic temperature of society will be tamped down greatly.
The third major initiative that has to do with SUPER-HEROES: the basic concept is that there is a plethora of super-hero figures from comic books to sports figures, to movie stars, rock stars, and the like. It is our contention that the entire multiverses of these figures can all funnel down and point to the real, not fanciful existence of an ULTIMATE SUPER HERO, with real and essential ULTIMATE AUXILIARY SUPER HERORES: i am talking about JESUS CHRIST, TRUE KING OF THE UNIVERSE, BEING THE ULTIMATE PERSON and GOAL and WAY to get there! His Mother, MARY, is the female Counterpart in the history of salvation, and St. Joseph is the strong, steady, silent imitable male figure. Both Mary and Joseph were fully human, while their Son (and foster-son) was true God and true Man at the same time.
The fourth and final (for the time being) initiative is to get the message of HUMILITY out to everyone, everywhere from now on indefinitely..... ini fact this has been revealed as the ultimate defining mission and purpose of this little ragtag group, to be among many others, key players in the winding up of this segment of salvation history. Unless we all humble ourselves to the core we will not enter the Kingdom of God: this just makes absolutely logical sense. GOD IS HOLINESS, HE IS PERFECTION, HE IS TRUTH, HE IS PURE GOODNESS: therefore nothing at all that is any less than that can be or exist in the same place that he does, therefore, all PRIDE, or SELFISHNESS has to be extinguished in the soul for entry in the amazing beyond. The only antidote to PRIDE (the Pride of Lucifer), is HUMILITY, the ultimate humility of the meek and humble human heart of Jesus Christ. So we must extinguish our egos by joining our humiliations with his to the maximum, so to experience the JOY and the Hope and PEACE of His defeating PRIDE for mankind, once and for all times on the Hill of Calvary, and in the Empty Tomb three days later. He resurrected TO THE NEWNESS OF LIFE! not the same old life, but a new life on steroids and then some.
And so, our entire focus is now on being a "school of tools of humility" so that many will be saved who now may be counting themselves out of luck. There is no luck, there is only grace and forgiveness and eternal life for those who ask for and will do what it takes to receive it fully!
So this is US: A SCHOOL OF THE TOOLS OF HUMILITY. We will promote it until the end of time in one way or another.
